"Well answer the question what kid's going to go to a salad bar?
Well, they're going to be forced to go to the salad bar, Snerdly.
This is the point! It's the Police State!"

It's hard to believe anyone takes this stuff seriously.

My daughter loved the salad bar.
Probably 'splains why she's nice and svelte, and Rush . . . is not.

By default, guys with boobs and more than one chin should not make fun of salads, or any dietary measures that might prevent children from growing up to be obese, lazy, arrogant, venomous, delusional talk show pundits with a legendary prescription drug problem.

Given the kneejerk reactions to anything The President or First Lady endorse, I wonder what wingnuts' reactions would be if either declared that air and breathing were good...

A few years ago there was an interesting episode (60 minutes?) where they went to a nordic country to see what happened when the government forced employers to serve healthy meals. It turned out that they had a significant reduction in heart attacks.

By the way, when systems are designed to make change easy on the person, it becomes an excellent example of "smoothing the path" towards health. ("Smoothing the path" is a term borrowed from Chip and Dan Heath's excellent book Switch - How to Change When Change is Hard.)

But in general, those are exactly the type of people who want to believe that eating and being healthy is somehow uncool. Considering he's been admitted to a hospital with chest-pains, a less ideological man would support healthy eating.
